The wait is finally coming to an end. After nearly two years, PartyNextDoor is set to release his highly anticipated album, P3.
To get you ready for the album, TheMindOfMyron.com has assembled a timeline of sorts. The timeline consists of the tracks we have received from PND since P2. Join us on a journey an experience tracks you might have messed as you get ready for another party next door...
PartyNextDoor dropped P2 in July of 2014 and really took his career to the next level. The Canadian crooner went from just another OVO signee to one of the biggest new names in R&B. The LP boasts fan favorites like "Recognize", "Thirsty", "Her Way", and "Sex On The Beach".
Riding the wave of success from P2, PND follows up the LP with an EP. He dropped the EP in December of 2014 entitled COLOURS, It consisted of four tracks with features from Travis Scott and Cash Out. Along with the EP, PND embarked on his first world tour as well.
"No Feelings" Feat travis Scott
Months fly by and now we are in the summer of 2015. P3 is rumored to be on the way but no sign of it just yet. We enter into July of 2015 and we are gifted with a new track from PND on OVO Sound Radio's second episode. "No Feelings" was the new joint and it was the second collabo between his and Travis Scott. Unfortunately the song was overshadowed by Drake's initial response to Meek Mill ("Charged Up") and the premiere of "Hotline Bling".
Days after the premiere of "No Feelings", Party shows off some of his feelings by dropping the track dubbed as "Kehlani's Freestyle". The track is an ode to his on-and-off boo thang, singer Kehlani.
The same day he dropped "Kehlani's Freestyle" on Soundcloud, PND took to Instagram to announce that his next album is indeed on the way. Little did fans know that "on the way" would still a ways away.
PartyNextDoor OVO Sound Radio Episode
It is now October of 2015 and still no release for P3. However, he was a special guest on the seventh episode of OVO Sound Radio and he debuted seven tracks for fans. I am sure none will appear on the album but it was refreshing for many to hear some of his new tunes.
"Party At 8"
It is now December 2015. P3 for Christmas? Think again ladies and gents. However Party and ATL producer TM88 teamed up for "Party At 8". The track was their lead single for their collaborative project but unfortunately it has been scrapped for the time being.
"Come and See Me"
It is late March of 2016 and WE HAVE A P3 SIGHTING! The OVO crew took over the Fader Fort at the last night of SXSW and during PND's set, he debuted the first single off P3, "Come and See Me", which was produced by 40 and features Drake. He shortly released the track online and has since dropped the music video for it (which premeired on Snapchat) which features Kylie Jenner.
While fans are awaiting P3. PND clearly has another album in the works as well. Singer Jeremih told Real 92.3 that him and PND have been working on material and will be releasing a joint LP entitled Late Night Party after both of their solo projects have dropped. The first offering we have from both is called "Like Dat" which premiered on the one-year anniversary episode of OVO Sound Radio. The joint is flames and features one rapper Lil Wayne's best verses of the year.
The time has finally come! PartyNextDoor has revealed his new dancehall inspired single "Not Nice" and unleashed the release date for P3. The album is set to hit all retailers on August 12th but like most OVO artists, the project will be exclusive on Apple Music prior. For the those with the streaming service, you will be able to listening to P3 on July 29th.
P3 has high expecatations to live up to! Do you think the project will do just that? What features besides Drake do you think will be on the project? #SpeakYourMind in the comments below!
