We all know what that means; it is [bout] time for Zulu Ball.
So for all the first time goers & to all us veterans here is the guide to #Zuluball18 from Souffwes.
TiP 1: SET YOUR Schedule ASAP
Make sure all your appointments are set and that you are on time because you DO NOT want to be LATE for the LITUATION!
Tip 2: Attire
We all know you want to rock your Louboutins and Jimmy Choos, but dancing and walking around on a concrete floor until 4am will only make you upset with yourself.
My advice for you would be find you the flyest and most comfortable pair of kicks that work best for you (you will have a floor length gown on anyways).
TiP 3: A Team Game Plan
The best thing to do is find a meeting place using the Hall names (i.e Hall G, Hall H, etc.)
Tip 4: Travel Plans & ArrIval
For those that do not want to deal with parking, there are two shuttle points. One is from the Winn Dixie Parking lot on Chef Menteur Hwy in the East and the other is from the Winn-Dixie on Holiday in Algiers on the Westbank. It is $10 for the ride there and back and will be the livest and flyest shuttle ride of your life. It is also the perfect opportuntiy to the make some new friends.
If you want to play AUX DJ on the way to ball though, either find someone to drop you off or catch an Über or Lyft (surging will be in effect so be prepared for rates to be higher because of the Mardi Gras.)
Your goal is to get there about 11:30 because that is just about primetime for everything.
Tip 5: MAke the Night One to Remember
All in all, this a night for us by us so let us enjoy this time and each other
for the 99 and the 2000.
Power & Peace.
