Your Inheritance is Not Guaranteed
So how does this relate to our lives? We were born with inheritance in our lives as well. Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". God has a plan and purpose for all of us. However, just like for Simba, it is more than likely it will not be handed to us. We will all go through a set of trials and tribulations in our lives (especially when we are nearing "the throne" in our lives. Some of it will be the Devil attacking us and some will be God testing us. Just like Simba eventually found his way to his inheritance through his hardships, (though it took some help) we have to find our way as well if we want what God has planned for us.
The Transformation of a Friendship
Long story short...STOP SLEEPING ON YOUR FRIENDS! You know why a lot of you all have not found that soul mate that you a desperately searching for? It's because they are locked away in your "friend zone" (especially you ladies). Mr. or Mrs Right be right in front of our faces but we can't see it because they are our best friends. Now I know in some cases close friendships could never materialize to into relationships (sometimes you know WAY TOO MUCH about a person). However, I know some of you all have that one friend thats is perfect for you and you have even given the idea of you all being together thought, but you are afraid to take that step. TAKE THAT STEP.
Simba and Nala did not see themselves togther but when they connected, it was "Can You Feel The Love" at first sight. Shoot your shot. If it doesn't work then at least your tried. If it is meant to happen, it will happen anyways so why waste years when you can have what you desire right now.
Bad things happen in our lives. We don't have time machines to go back and change them. We have to continue to grow and learn from life's challenges. Worry less and have more faith. Proverbs 3:5-6 states "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight". Now looking back on Timone and Pumba, I am not recommending living such a carefree life as them but Simba's was haboring on his past and that was his way of getting through what he just went to. When we use "Hakuna Matata in our lives, we need to have "no worries" because we are putting our problems in God's hands.
Watch the ones close around You
So what can we learn from this relationship in the movie? Make sure the people who are suppose to be for you, are FOR YOU! Make sure you have friends and even family who have your best interest at heart. Some of the closest people to you can be the ones who envy you most. Scar is Simba's uncle and he wanted him dead. We see in the bible the first murder committed was Cain killing his brother! Make sure your friends are solid but keep an eye out for family. One of my friends recently was just telling me to make sure I kept genuine people around me due to seeing a lot of cuthroat people in his career so far. A cliche phrase to end with but "when a person shows you who they are, BELIEVE THEM".
Remember Who You Are
So we all go through trials and tribulation in our lives. We have to make sure we do not lose ourselves in the process. Simba lost himself after going through some tough times. People will try to tell you that you are something that you are not. Do not believe lies they tell or they lies the devil tries to tell you. Remember the lessons your parents taught and essential remembering that you a child of God. God has a plan for your life. God will not put you through anything you cannot. Last but not least you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you.
