Ready. Set. Go.
When beginning your fitness journey, take a moment and reflect on what your goals are, what you want to achieve and how you plan on achieving it. Start small by surfing the web for different information on fitness, clean foods and healthy living. Search blogs, websites and even pinterest if that works. Look for things that motivate you in the right direction. Most importantly as I stated before, start SMALL. Do nott go looking at the pictures of the Victoria Secret Angels or the Calvin Klein boxer models and think “that’s exactly what I want to look like.” Think realistically! Now I am not saying that those images are not obtainable but lets face it, I probably cannot count on my two hands the number of people who actually look like those models WITHOUT any extra enhancement.
With that being said your challenge of the week is to find something that motivates you enough to start. Get a gym membership, jump into that first workout, buy an at home workout DVD, or simply take a jog around the park. Your challenge is to finally get up and get active. Record what you did in your workout and the time length. Aim for at least 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of full body exercises that target all major muscle groups of the body, including arms, abs, and legs. Challenge yourself to at least a 1-hour workout 3x times this week! By reading this blog I hope that I have inspired you to take the first step and just START! Ready. Set. Go!
