I remember like it was yesterday. I was walking in the library during finals week around midnight. I get on twitter and to my surprise Beyoncé shocks the world and drop a brand new album out of nowhere! No promo, no single, NOTHING! To stop that off, she released a video for every song. That night inspired many around the world and gave birth to the one and only: MONCE'
The entertainer Marlon Green, now known to many as MONCE', has released his own visual album. There are many covers of songs from Beyonce's new album on the internet but none compare to Green's work. Not only does he cover multiple songs, he always has high quality videos to go with each one. From being thirsty, to representing his skin color, to stripper kicks, and many more, MONCE' is sure to have you in tears from laughter. Click READ MORE to see my favorite video from MONCE' and to find the link for the rest of MONCE's videos. I promise you, you wont regret it. Thank me later. Marlon "MONCE'" Green is about to blow up.
The new year brings a lot of new things: new starts, new goals, new diets, and NEW EPISODES! This week, a lot of our favorite shows return from their hiatus for their Winter Premieres. Here's a few shows to watch (Spoiler Alerts):
We normally would have to wait until the summer for a new season of Teen Wolf but luckily we were blessed with a part 2 to Season 3 which begins January 6th. From the commercial preview, part 2 of Season 3 seems like like it will be in a very dark place. The commercial is flat-out creepy. Deaton warned Scott, Stiles, and Allison that the procedure used to find their parents (which temporarily killed them) would leave a darkness inside of them and would attract supernatural beings to them. I'm sure we're about to find out just how true that statement was.
Revenge went all out for his it's mid-season finale! You were on the edge of your seats the whole episode. But let's be honest, we knew Emily wasn't going to have her happy ending by framing Victoria and riding off into the sunset with Aiden (It's one of ABC's best show; they're not letting this one end that soon or that easy).
Emily's family honey moon took a turn for the worst when Lydia was invited on board the cruise ship. She showed Victoria the infamous party photo which led to Victoria confronting Emily on the boat's deck, exposing tons of secrets. Her plan would've still worked had Daniel not heard all of his mom and Emily's conversation; which led to him shooting her. How in the heck will Emily get herself out of this one? We all shall be watching on January 5th to find out.
Pretty Little Liars
First off, yep I'm a guy and I watch this show. I'm a fan of good television; sue me. More importantly, PLL returns for it winter season January 7th and fans have a ton of questions. The most important question of them all is "Why in the hell is Ezra A?" That has puzzled myself and I'm sure many other viewers as well. We all knew sort of knew Ali was alive; but another question looming is "Is that really Allison or this rumored twin we have heard about (or read about on Wikipedia). Season 4B should be one of the more interesting seasons to date for PLL. Now that Ali's back, should they be more scared for her, or even more scared of A?
Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots
Let me start off by saying that this is one of the most underrated shows on television. Tyler Perry delivers excellence with this show. If you haven't watched it yet, give it a try. You wont regret it.
The season finale left viewers speechless. We saw Jeffery finally admit to his parents that he was gay; and we saw his mother ridiculously disown him immediately afterward. We saw Candice up to her evil ways scheming to help Amanda sue her parents. We also saw Hanna in absolute shock when cops show up to her door to tell her her son Benny has been involved in a hit and run (Is he dead? We shall see.). To top that off, Wyatt is the one that hit him! This season should be better than the first so make sure you're watching on January 7th.
A lot of good shows are returning this week and next. Some that I didn't mention above are: Single Ladies, Arrow, Parks and Recreation, Being Mary Jane, American Idol, and The Originals. I think I'm most excited for Teen Wolf and Revenge. What show are YOU most excited is RETURNING ? POLL BELOW!
The world we live in today is all about accepting who you are. In some cases that is a good thing but in others it can become a blockade. Sometimes we accept who we are instead of striving to be who we wanna be.
In 2014, join the #BeTheYouYOUWannaBe campaign. It's a campaign that I came up with to motivate myself and others. The campaign's purpose is to get people to strive to be the person they dream of being.
People try and tell us who we are or what we want in life. We let these people cloud our judgement. We let these people scare us from taking risks. The #BetheYouYOUWannaBe campaign is about listening to what you want for yourself and not letting people think for you.
Sometimes people aren't the problem; we can be our own worst enemy. We become stagnant. We become so content with who we are that we lose sight on who we want to be.
Sometimes we also do not want to work. Change takes effort. Laziness is not a friend of effort. Laziness likes to rear its ugly face in and tell us we don't need effort and that we are good the way we are. You might be good the way you are but why not be great being the person you want to be?
In 2014, lets strive for self-improvement. If you don't like something about yourself, you don't have to accept it; change it! Strive for greatness. Take risks. Don't let no one stop you. #BeTheYouYOUWannaBe
