My name is Bria Johnson, the creator of Tippin’ The Scale. I was inspired to share my story on my weight loss journey that began January 2014. In 6 months I was able to tip the scale from 180 lbs. to 150 lbs. With my contributions to #TheMindOfMyron, I desire to encourage and motivate others who are struggling with their weight. I want them to know that not only can they lose the weight they desire but also keep the weight off. Even if your goal isn’t to lose weight, and you are just looking to live a healthier life style, I will have various tips and tricks that just might help you along the way. You only get one body, so why not treat it right? Check out my first blog on the beginning of my weight loss journey below!
My weight loss journey was huge learning experience, begining January 2014. It was a trial and error period about finding out what worked and what didn't work for me. For me, discipline was key. I signed myself up for an exercise class where I would be held accountable. This method worked best for me because it forced me to get up and attend class. I didn’t want to fall behind and I didn’t want to seem as if I was the only person in the course who couldn’t keep up.
Eventually I was able to muster up enough courage to attend the gym on my own, and I realized that it wasn’t so bad. This is just a small example of how I began my journey to a better, and happier me. In total I have lost 30 pounds since my weight loss journey. Originally weighing 180 pounds and now circling between 145-150 pounds.
Though I have lost a lot of weight, my weight loss journey is not over. am still nowhere near where I want to be but I am determined to get there. I currently workout 4-5 times a week, while maintaining a healthy normal diet.
