5. tORONTO rAPTORS
Next Games: Brooklyn (1/13), New York (1/15), Brooklyn (1/17)
4. sAN aNTONIO sPURS
Nobody really talks about the Spurs (like always) but yet they are quietly at the top of the league (like always). They are number two in the West with the second best record in the NBA. They recently loss a tough game to the Bucks but look for them to shake back against the Lakers.
Next Games: LAL (1/12), Phoenix (1/14), Minnesota (1/17)
3. hOUSTON rOCKETS
James Harden has simply been remarkable this season and what puts him a bit ahead of Westbrook for MVP in my opinion is that his team is winning. The Rockets are on a nine-game winning streak and are beginning to look like serious title contendors. The D-Antoni-Harden dynamic has been an A+ and the idea to surround Harden with three-point threats like Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson has panned out well. I do not know if this team can take down Golden State in a seven game series just yet but they sure will make it tough.
Next Games: Minnesota (1/11), Memphis (1/13), Brooklyn (1/15), Miami (1/17)
2. Cleveland CAVALIERS
Somehow LeBron James and the Cavs managed to snag sharpshooter Kyle Korver from the Hawks for virtually nothing. Korver is a career 42% three-point shooter. He will get a bunch of open looks making the Cavs more scarier than they already. Despite the loss to the Jazz in Korver's debut with his new team, things will be fine once he is adjusted. LeBron is now pushing for a PG to backup Kyrie Irving. I can see them going after Deron Williams of the Mavericks.
Next Games: Portland (1/11), Sacramento (1/13), Golden State (1/16)

Next Games: Detroit (1/14), Cleveland (1/16), OKC (1/18)
