Thoughts and reflection from the Alton Sterling Vigil. Also a video photo collage of the peaceful protest.
As many of us have seen on the videos surfacing the internet, it is clear that Alton Sterling was wrongly killed by two police officers. This resulting in yet ANOTHER killing of a black man by the Police. Wednesday, residents of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas came together for a Vigil for Sterling to stand together during this tragedy and to show support for the family. Below are my thoughts as well as what I captured being on the scene.

For those who could not make the Vigil, there are other ways for you to show your support as you can see in the picture above. I encourage you all to be more than a tweet or an Instagram post. Be a PRESENCE! To many of the followers of this site, this happened in OUR BACKYARD! Let your actions reflect your tweets. My heart goes out to the Sterling Family as well as to the family of Philando Castile who more recently wrongly gunned down. We have been let down countless times when looking for Justice in the many tragedies like these. However, we must continue to support and fight for what is right. If we give up, we lose and that is NOT an option.
